Biography
Michael McIntosh
I have been a professional Jamaican photographer for over 35 years. I started as a trainee at a photo lab, learning the old school photography processing and printing. I then worked in studios and as a freelance photo-journalist before becoming a full-time freelance photographer.
I gained all my photography knowledge on the job and through experimenting. My experience includes weddings, corporate and working with models. Because I’m an artist by nature, as a photographer, I do what I love using my natural gifts. I have always appreciated figure / nude art and dabble in drawing as hobby. So I occasionally shoot nudes to enjoy exploring the art in photography. For me all nudes I shoot has one central theme which is to celebrate God the Creators most beautiful and excellent creative work, the human body.
Thanks be to God that several of my photos have received online awards and I have a large number featured in international magazines. One of my greatest pleasure in this area is especially when the models I work with are the only black women featured and especially Jamaicans.
